Face Lifts with Tisseal tissue glue
 For a number of years now Dr. Sternschein has been using Tisseal tissue glue to speed healing after face lifts. Tisseal is a completely natural biological "glue". The ingredients in the glue are already in your body - they are the two major substances in your blood that allow clots to form. Just before the end of a face lift procedure, these substances are mixed and sprayed under the skin. In three minutes the skin is gently reattached to the underlying tissue. The tension of the closure is distributed over the entire face not just on the incisions. This improves healing and decreases the visibility of scars. In three minutes the glue does what the body would do in 2-4 days. There is less bleeding and swelling. There is even no need for any dressing or head wrap, so patients are much more comfortable.

 Silicone breast implants are back! After extensive research and studies involving more than 120,000 U.S. patients, the FDA has approved silicone gel implants and they are generally available. The NEW silicone implants are different. They contain COHESIVE GEL (memory gel). This cohesive silicone is not a liquid or a semi-liquid. It holds together uniformly (like a gummy bear) while retaining the natural give that resembles breast tissue. They are a significant improvement over the old silicone implants. Dr. Sternschein will discuss the advantages and disadvantages of the NEW silicone implants. Although saline implants are still a good option, more and more patients are choosing cohesive silicone gel implants.
